24-Dec-12 - Launch of Nobel Laureate Gao Xingjian’s book, the Rise of Sinophone Studies, and Rethinking Chineseness! HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Happy holidays from Cambria Press!

This holiday season is an especially exciting one for Cambria Press because many important people will be at the upcoming Modern Language Association (MLA) annual convention, including Professor Victor H. Mair (general editor of the Cambria Sinophone World Series) as well as some of the editorial board members, Professors David Wang, Jing Tsu, Haun Saussy, and Jianmei Liu.

We are also delighted that some of our authors will be attending the convention too. Nobel Prize Winner in Literature Gao Xingjian and Dr. Mabel Lee will be there for the launch of his book, Gao Xingjian: Aesthetics and Creation, which has just been published in time for the MLA annual convention. This book is part of the Cambria Sinophone World Series.

Another book that is also in the Cambria Sinophone World Series that has been published just in time for the MLA annual convention is Rethinking Chineseness: Translational Sinophone Identities in the Nanyang Literary World by Professor E. K. Tan.

Learn more about these new books and the rise of Sinophone studies at the Cambria Press blog post about this!
