About Gregory Szarycz

Gregory S. Szarycz holds a PhD from the University of Otago, New Zealand, where he was also a contributing lecturer. He has subsequently held teaching positions at the University of Guelph, the University of Waterloo, and Wilfrid Laurier University. He is a regular presenter at international conferences, including at the British Association for Canadian Studies (BACS), the University of Oxford, and the Society for Cross-Cultural Research (SCCR). His publications are thematically diverse and include a review article that examines the applicability of interactional sociolinguistic analysis to tourism contexts, a chapter on animal performance and performativity in an upcoming edited book Theorizing Animals (Brill Academic Publishers), and numerous scholarly reviews.
