About Erika Moreno

Erika Moreno is Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Political Science and International Relations at Creighton University. She holds a PhD and an MA from the University of Arizona and a BA from San José State University. Dr. Moreno specializes in comparative politics with a focus on Latin American politics. Her scholarly interests focus on democratic institutions and interbranch relations and their implications for democratic accountability and representation. Her work has appeared in Latin American Politics and Society, Comparative Political Studies, Electoral Studies, the Bulletin of Latin American Research, and Legislative Studies Quarterly. She has also edited and contributed to books published by University of Notre Dame Press, Oxford University Press, and Pennsylvania State Press on topics that include the Colombian peace process, government institutions and accountability, the Colombian political system, and Cuba-US Relations.
